We've test fitted nismo sides not too long ago and they were still fine. bolt up from the front first and work towards the rear. Sending me pictures would help.

"I've been working on/monitoring the mold makings of the sides and front diffuser, which has kept me pretty busy."

So yes we do have new improved sides. The recent customers that had to wait are well aware of it.

New sides.

Pics of extra mouting areas to help stabilize the sides (because of flexibility).

Oh, I also forgot to mention. I had sold the pair of the original sideskirts to a gentleman named David Parks, who I believe is a very active member of this board. I don't know his screen name, but he had called me about a week later telling me the original Amuse sides didn't fit as well as he expected. :Shrugs:

It would be faulty to assume the original fit 100% all the time. The pictures you see from these Japanese sites don't tell you how much work was put in to make them fit right either.

We worked with what we got and gave the sideskirts another shot with a the new mold. I wouldn't say it's 100%, but if you like what you see in the pics, then it's good enough.

I would never expect any aftermarket body kit, even coming from the big name brands to be able to just bolt right on with 100% fitment. Shines kits are damn good for what they are ESPECIALLY considering their pricing. Go look at some hondas and acuras to remind yourself what bad fitting body kits look like.

i think you and i are talking about two different things. i think you are referring to the prep time required to poor quality or ill fitting kits. im just talking about just the time it takes once the kit is finished to install the bumper onto the car.

stylett9 - have you ever purchased proper name brand bodykits from japan? I dont think you have. some of them require a bit of filing but most of them test fit on a car before shipping out so chances of a genuine kit not fitting is very rare. that includes all the top makers like veilside, cwest, ings, and etc. I have lots of experience with various brands, and no, those ugly looking copy kits are history, not even worth mentioning them. i dont think they will survive today's market anymore. However, believe it or not, if i did not work on the sides as much, it probably would've looked just as ugly as those old honda kits you mentioned. I don't want to blame Shine here so do not pull my trigger to get started on this.

Again, I am not saying Shine's kits bad. Like I mentioned in my original post, its a replica and I do accept the fact that I had to spend more time to make it fit perfectly to my taste, especially when it costs 1/3 of genuine kit. Its just that all the users here were kind of 'worshipping' Shine's amuse kit and I assumed that they should bolt on like genuine kits. Front, yes, they fit perfectly fine. Even better that it bolts on with the undertray's and etc, which is not usually the case with japanese brands. Again I wonder if this is customized treat by Shine or Amuse came like that.

Its good to see Shine's got better fitting sides now. It needed a LOT of work to come par with those pics posted by Shine with my kit. Maybe I should've waited two months before ordering mine

I appreciate the review. I think for us it's really an important learning process to get us where we need to be. Learning how to be consistent and making the proper decisions to improve where we feel need improvement. I believe our understanding of the whole composites field is 10 times more than what it was 1-2 years ago and it's because of the feedback from customers. We really want to offer the best products out there.

Yes indeed. The most satisfaction part of my deal with Ken at Shine was the communication with him. that is something very hard to see with any other bodykit manufacturers out there. that is also why I purchased Shine's kit, as I knew that they were in the scene to provide support
