There are three similar finishes, but they are all different. Flat, Matte, and Satin. My favorite is the Satin Black, it has a richness that flat utterly lacks, is a "softer" feel than the former 2.
I'll try to find some nice cars in Satin finish. My wheels are getting done in that color, fyi.
thas pretty messed up lol, i posted a few weeks ago talking about how i'm going to do that flat black look early next year, and every one commented was like it's only for hot rods, and it's not for the exotic look of the 350z. I guess i just had to post pictures, and what sad was i had a few of them. But i'm still going through with it, if i don't end up buying an NSX......so hopefully i have my mind made by january what the hell i'm going to do...

This is still a true statement, so dont do it. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DONT DO IT!!! Flat black is for hotrods. Go with a matte or satin finish. All the pictures you see are either of those finishes. They have a clear that goes on it fairy easy and smooth. Most major paint manufactures have a dulling agent that can be added to the clear to tone it down if there is not a premade one available.
House of Kolor has a decent selection of paints and their price realy isnt as high as every one thinks. Well for most of their paint any ways.
