Default Get clearbra now? Dillemma...

Hey guys, I just got my Z and won't add a bodykit at least until break-in period is over... But I've heard people say to get a clear bra ASAP to avoid rock chips... But If I plan on adding a bodykit later on, the clearbra would stay on the OEM kit and I'd have to get clearbra again...

What do you guys suggest me do?

you can get the bra on fenders/hood mirrors first if you plan to change out the bumper.

wrong... has nothing to do with trucks, any car can throw up a rock and its not always possible to put 100 yards in front of your car at all times. I never 'heard' any of them'. Nissan paint blows period. I have 3 rock chips already and I've only had it since April and my Z is a 'garage queen" as least by the standards set here.

Get the Clear Bra ASAP, but if your getting the body kit, wait and have it put on the kit, as the only part that would still have it on would be part of the hood unless you plan on replacing that as well.

In you're case I would just wait and pray, then get your kit put on and have it all clear bra'd at once, prolly safe money then doing in parts

make sure you use touch up paint on the chips if you decide to put it later down the road.

Thx for the replies.

Hmm...

I dont plan on adding a bodykit anytime soon... Probably will only add a kit after having this Z for half a year...

I could just add touch up paint to the rock chips and scratches and wait for my kit to go on before getting a clearbra right? I think that's better, what do you guys think?

i'd say get the clear bra now. I got mine on about a month after I got the car and drove very very carefully everywhere and still had two very small chips...almost like scratches on the hood. Also get them on the headlights to avoid all that scratching and fading esp with the price of our lights. Plus in a year from now if you don't have the money to put toward a body kit you'll have a front end with a bunch of chips.

Sorry i meant i got chips before i got the clear bra in just a month. When I got my lip put on it was 2 days before i got a nice chip. Right now i have it on the hood, headlights, bumper/lip. Still want sideview mirrors and front parts of my fenders done. If your 100% sure that your gonna get a body kit you might be able to leave the bumper with no clear bra, but if the body kit gets pushed back or put on hold for awhile that could be a problem

Im thinking of adding a lip kit instead of replacing the whole bumper. I think i'll hold off on the clearbra for now
