Just wondering if anyone had a web site I could go to for a price on a clear bra. Any recommendations?

I paid $279 for the ft bumper alone. It would have cost over $500 for the hood, mirros etc. The installer I was recommened to use did a perfect job so if you need a recommendation, PM me.

didn't install the clear bra, but i installed the lens protector film that is made of similar material. Bought it at autosportcatalog.com for $45 and it was shipped to me from x-Pel. (it seems to be cheaper then buying direct from X-Pel). Maybe their clear bra price would be cheaper too.

Hmmm...for the front bumper, half the hood, fenders and side view mirrors...I was quoted 275.00 installed by a 3M Certified dude....why does this seem so cheap.

My bro said he saw on red Firebird and he saw some lines and some bubbles....i dont know who did the Bird for that guy though.

Damn vice, that is pretty cheap for a 3M clear bra. Sounds good to me as long as it doesn't look like a three year old did the job.

That's extremely cheap.. The material itself costs a dealer more then that. Maybe that was the price for installation alone, who knows. If it's for everything, then jump on it!

I guess they'd have to do a super job cleanign it first before applying the stuff....how does a rock NOT chip it..if its just a thign sheet of plastic...wont that scuff and stuff?

installation is the key. prices can vary. Make sure they will stand behind the work. If there are creases or bubbles they should fix it for you. mine was about:

850.00 for hood, bumper, wheel wells, mirrors....installed.

it was expensive it suppose but it looks good so I think it was worth it.

If you didn't have clear bra installed on it right off the lot, you WILL have bubbles. There's just no way around it. I love the stuff, except for the fact that it shows every little imperfection in the paint you had no idea even previously existed. Still though, from a few feet, it all looks perfect. Any scratch or nick in the paint, will show a small bubble. I had 1300 miles on mine when I had it done, and it shows quite a few bubbles, but nothing to bad.

interesting...my Z has 4000 miles on it. Is it too late for clear bra? I'd HATE to see little bubbles where nicks or scratches might be.

Its not too late, you just need a good installer. I used mikeinatlanta (screen name here), yes he charges $900 for the Z, but his pattern, dynashield, is the best there is. It wraps around the edges, leaving only one visible seam. That seam is the one that goes across the rear edge of the fenders and hood, but it is contoured to fit the lines of the car.

Mike demands perfection from his work. He also did our G35c, and when I took the car back for a minor problem, he found several things he didn't like (he had tried a new film, Venture, instead of 3M), and insisted on redoing the whole car.

imho, the design of his kit and his attention to detail was worth it. Come on down from TN and see him.

can you see the bra in this pic?

2003z- I might have to do that. Your job looks amazing, you can't see a line or anything.
