Default Custom LED headlights

Okay, so last night i was walking in to the gym when an Aston Martin V8 Vantage. After I picked my jaw up off the pavement, I looked closely at the headlights and noticed a strip of White Superlux LED's running up the inside edge of the headlights. Looked absolutely gorgeous. I felt like a moth to a buglamp...i could not stop staring.

My immediate reaction (besides feeling inferior) was to try this on my Z. I have seen tons of threads on painting headlights, and gettin LED replacement bulbs (i have them myself). I have even seen LED gauge conversions by Acree.

But, I have never seen any thread on doing a custom LED strip similar to the aston martin's in headlights.

Anyone ever tried? What do you think? Would it be worth it? How many of you would do it/ have someone else do it if they were offering it?

I am really thinking I'm going to do it to mine this weekend. I found a vendor of high-quality Superflux 4 Chip LED's Pre-wired for cheap. oznium.com has them. I have ordered from them before and they are very good.

This seems more like an advertisement to sell **** than a thread, IMO.

The audi S6s have the led fogs and those look amaizing to. I think everything is going to be led in a few years mainly cause they never burn out and partly because they look amazing.

The only Z here with additional LEDs in bi-xenons to my knowledge:

The Aston design can't work in the Z since the lights are obviously different. It's all about how creatively YOU think you can add something to what you have to work with.

LED strips have been done before in the headlights, both on the Z and G. Do a search and you should be able to start getting some ideas.

I like the idea of mimicing the R8's strip and run them along the bottom. build a little fiberglass box to mount them in across the bottom.

everyone always does them up the side...

be different!

It's not entirely a new idea. It just up to you to decide on how you want it to look and where you want the leds placed.
