What is this for?
What are these cuts in the grill for? Does this middle piece come out? Didn't want to go all ape $hit on the grill without asking a question or two.
Basically, I'm looking for a way to mount the license plate without drilling the bumper. Currenly have the front plate zip tied ghetto style to the grill and would like something a little more "factory."
Did a quick search and only found posts about bumper plugs...and that damn GOW thread.

I believe it comes out so you can screw in the towing hook.

Pull it out and see what's inside. It hides a laser beam.
Kidding... it's a tow hook cover.

That is a removable piece of the grill. Behind that piece is where you mount the tow hook that came with the vehicle. ALL THIS IS IN THE MANUAL !!!!!!

Remove this piece and order yourself a Zee braket. It uses the tow hook hole to mount.
