I have an 03 Touring with heated seats. I've been debating about getting some racing seats since I'm sick of rolling around when I hit the twisties. Now the thing that really bothers is what do you do with the two buttons for the heated seats? Do you just leave them be an nonfunctional? I hate having any buttons sitting around that are not functional.

How does heated seats work really? Is it just like a piece of heatable mat that's placed in the seat with power cables connected to it? Following that, ideally you can just buy aftermarket heated seat components and make the heated racing seats and still keep the original buttons? Please enlighten me up!
