Default Tail Light Removal

Hi. Im attempting to remove my tail lights and i have a 10mm wrench but it seems like when i am trying to remove the bolts they are just getting tighter and lowering. Are the bolts supposed to come off? thanks in advance

Lefty loosy, righty tighty. Should be a bolt on the top of it underneath a plastic insert. Other than that you just have to pull them off in the correct direction.

The correct direction is laterally. Remove the bolts holding the taillights on top, then push gently but firmly laterally from the vehicle orientation.
