350Z A/C & Radio controls
Hey Z Drivers!
I've got a little problem and I was wondering if anyone could help me out.
My friend (won't mention any names) spilled some drops of Dr. Pepper onto the center dash of my new car and I quickly cleaned it up. Unfortunately, some seeped into the "AUDIO" button crevice and the A/C "ON/OFF/FAN SPEED" as well.
The audio button works but it sticks. The A/C dial does not have the nice click it had before.
Does anyone know how to disassemble any of these so that I can clean it out?
Thanks for your help!
Regards,

It all comes apart pretty easily. Once you pull the dash outward towards the inside of the car, you'll see the back of the three climate control *****. There is a plastic box with a white ribbon cable coming out of it. You'll have to pull out the clip on this cable to allow you to remove the plastic box. There are like 6 screws and three or four clips that unsnap. You then can remove the back to get to the inside of the three *****. The little metal piece that makes contact with the other ring behind it is covered in a vaseline-like substance. I suppose it is for lubrication and for electrical contact. That might have been washed out by the Dr. P. The plastic box contains the "brains" of the three ***** ( a circuit board) and this might have been shorted out as well.
