very nice !!! I want to do my housing when its warmer in KS(I know you live in WI,hehe)
what kind of paint did you use and where did you get that?
Using oven method to open the housing?
How many coat did you do?

I used Black Satin Krylon Fusion. Wonderful paint. It did a great job, doesn't need a primer or clear coat. I used the oven method to get them apart and put on like 5-6 coats. I also took apart the projector housing and painted that because I haven't seen anyone do that yet.

 

I like the idea of painting the projector housing. Bet that was a pain in the ****.

 

cool, you get it from Autozone or advance auto?

I just want to take out the amber strip and do the top corner only, not even the turn signal light area...

 

Yea it was those things did not want to come apart and I had to be real careful not to get paint on the lense

 

Got it at Wal-mart for like 5 bucks. Also if you take the amber strip and turn it over and paint the back with a few light coats it makes it look smoked. Mine turned out great.

 

Any chance of larger pics? That's 100x better than the plastic covers.
