Default Anyone have a molded INGS LX front lip?

I have searched and searched and to my knowledge I don't think anyone here has a ings front lip that been molded to the stock bumper but I could be wrong.

So does anyone know if this has been done or not? my brains doing this

I can see why you wouldn't mold it because if you scratch your lip and it's molded you would have to start fresh with a new bumper and a new lip.

Please post pics if you have any and sorry for being a noob and asking for pics but it's hard to find it or maybe no one here has done this yet.

I'm gonna feel so stupid if someone well known on the forums has done this mod.....

I wouldn't mold fiberglass to the stock urethane/abs plastic bumper. Given enough flex if you scrape it, the mold line will crack and look awful.

I understand your point but

I'm planning on getting the hybrid and if it's bad news then how come it's alright to mold the rears? Except the fact that there's a less chance of rears scraping.

Of course unless the hybrid's not flexible but I thought it was and that's why it costs more????

Correct, the rear has less chance of flexing. So, in theory, you are less prone to having the crack line. But, the crack line can also show up after a while from simply heating and cooling during the day/night, summer/winter, etc. I guess it all depends on what is used to mold the aero pieces together. If its anything like body filler, or something that is fiberglass, it will probably crack because it cannot flex as much as the Ing's hybrid material or the OEM urethane/abs plastic.

You know, I'm not 100% sure on what Amuse aero parts are made out of but I wouldn't doubt if it was fiberglass like most Japanese parts.

Do you not want fiberglass for any particular reason?

Well the roads here in Washington where I live aren't the best there probably better then most states but I just don't want to end up spending 800+ for a front bumper and i end up cracking it because i hit something or scraped to hard. I intend to lower the car to.

Or lets put it this way, there doing quite a bit of construction and after everything is finished the roads will be nice but they've been doing most of these roads for 3 years now and I don't know when there going to finished especially when the states involved.

Shine might be the better alternative for me and my friend has a WRX with a fiberglass half lip and it cracked. He bought a cwest one just had it painted and some girl hit his car a week later at school and there was no problems except a chip in the paint job but no crack.

I live somewhat in the country to so it's quite different from the bay area.

I appreciate all the help by the way.

I understand that same feeling about replicas. I like looking at my options am very likely going forward with a authentic kit of some sort maybe even saying to hell with it and getting a fiberglass kit like a Junction Produce.

I talked with Jeff at Bulletproof and was very helpful so we'll see what goes down except he told me the JP kit was going to take 12-14 weeks for it to arrive if I order it now.

Whos knows but once it's done i'll post pics. Thanks again for your help.

If you're looking at the Suzuka MSA, be aware that the picture they used is of an AUTHENTIC ings lx kit, and is NOT the actual product. How do I know that? They used a picture of MY car!

Oh, and to answer your original question, I've seen it molded, it looks fine, but I don't think it's worth the hassle.
