I designed some vinyls for my Z. I'm installing them next week and was wondering what the general opinion was on this sort of thing. To me the Z is a fast fun car but not art or something thats 'off limits' to this sort of thing. Its not like its a Benz. Plus, I consider myself a creative person (graphic artist for 10 years now) and love the idea of a bit of uniqueness with my car.

This is the mockup, I'll post photos here when they are done.

 

Eh, I'm for them. This was for a Car Show. I think I'm going to be putting on something that will be more long-term.

Glad someone likes it. My Vinyl guy wanted to kill me after he was done...but he was also the one to design it, so whatever.
This was for D1/Extreme Autofest. It was a week after Transformers the movie came out.

Ooh, I've been really really considering having some made for my car...they're kind of extensive though. I'll have to get a picture together of them. How much do you think it'd cost to have something like this made?

+1 good for car show HP. Some are tasteful just dont overdo it. It looks good IMO.

 

I guess I'll come out of the closet and admit that I actually like vinyls. If done tastefully. Right now my Z is pretty clean and I dont think it would do to put some on, but I'd love to see some more ideas for vinyls. (I might change my mind someday.)

^I have more pics but I have to look for them. I know someone in CA has the same design though, not sure exactly where or on what though. The guy apparently REALLY wanted the design, so my vinyl guy made another one and sold it to him.


So this was the original design. My vinyl guy, in hindsight, did not realize what it would exactly look like once it was on my car. He was slightly rushed because the day he was dropping off my car, he had to fly to CO to instruct. He competed in the Vinyl comp, but got killed by a Scion XB with a full body wrap...
