NICE...i was wondering what tinted tails would look like...how did you get them tinted? Spray? Film?

I know people usually use a product called nite shades to tint tails.

I had them done at a shop near my house. It is a 3m coat. be careful of over the counter stuff.

When they did mine they applied 2 coat, paint sanded it then applied a glaze coat, so they remain shiney.

cool..thanks for the info. Pictures always makes tint and stuff look better then in person...do your tails look super smooth...professional...no spray marks or such? I'd hate to spend the money and then look like they were spray painted. They look awesome in your pics...so did my GP tails..but in person they weren't taht great up close.

Looks great. That first pic threw me off 'cause I thought only the bottom/back half of the tails had been smoked. Weird how the light plays a trick like that. I've been interested in this sort of appearance mod, as well. I think smoked tails would go well with smoked JDM corners on my LS.

Think you'll get smoked corners, or would that be too much dark?

And please share info about the shop!

Peace...

Wicked;

Looks good - Did they remove the tail-lights or just tape around them?
