Default Kandy Paint

I was in an argument last night about candy paint. Is it true that insurance companies will not let you insure your car for full coverage if you have it?
This sounds like BS to me but i don't know

Ive had candy paint on multiple cars without a problem. Full insurance. That is simply stupid.

Yup, whoever you're talking to is full of it. Why would they not cover Kandy paint but the addition 30K in mods that quite a few of us have insured. It just costs more. Basically, there is someone somewhere who will insure pretty much anything you can think of.

the only paint I can think of that might cause a problem would be the mirror/ultra reflective that billionaires in Dubai have, but even then...

they might not pay extra the extra cost in case you need to repaint it. HOWEVER, bodyshop has many way to charge more so it will cover for whatever request you have.

I am having to go to Haggerty insurance since my company no longer wants to insure mine. Paint is one thing, turbo is another. Besides a normal ins co. will not afford what some put into their cars. Haggerty covers full amount you set but you can't go over 2500 miles per year. $80.62 per month to cover $45,000 pay off if totaled. Definitely classic/show car insurance. Just a candy paint job, I don't see the problem.
