Question Asuka hatch with...

paint fade? Anyone with an image or crayon drawing of this? Seriously though, I have a cf hood with a fade on the vents. Looking to do the same with the hatch. Clearly Seibon is out there but I really like the look of the Asuka hatch as I find it similar to the look of the OEM hatch with the OEM spoiler. To a degree anyway...

I want to go with the hatch, fade out toward the end w/o a spoiler and still keep a subtle look as to what I have now. I have a body guy who does this quite well and we could pull it off without concern.

Requirements:

I want to maintain the i) the oem glass/defroster and ii) the oem wiper. My car is a DD and I really require these functions. From my search I am not sure which hatch (Seibon or Asuka) would accommodate this best. I am also aware of fiber images but I can't get their site to load for the life of me. Perhaps it has something to do with this terrible storm in the North East.

I'm attaching a body shot of the front of the car for reference. I've got Volks on the way but this came to me when I couldn't sleep last nite and wanted someone to weigh in on it. I am having a hell of a time finding an Asuka hatch for sale but they seem to be in supply. I think my brain is shorting out after spending nearly the entire day on this site re: the poor weather.

Any input on a cold Sunday nite...?

Well Asuka is out of production for now (they should be back soon), however Mastergrade has a hatch for sale.

I know Changvi had his hatch painted, however not a faded look like you want.

I have not heard of anyone who has retained the OEM wiper with the Mastergrade hatch as that requires you to drill into it.

Default Damn...

so many little details here and the fact that it seems out of production (for the time being) doesn't help.

I suppose that's why I couldn't find any examples of it being done-up as noted. Maybe I am pushing for too much on this one? Hmm, I wonder...

I realize Seibon is readily available but if I am going to fade the rear then I really don't want to affix a spoiler to the top of it...if you feel me.

I am not sure if you read my post correctly, but I said you can get that very same hatch from Mastergrade....

As far as the fade, not many have attempted to paint the hatch aside from ChangVi and maybe a few others however I have never seen any fade paint jobs.

Recently there was a GB so maybe you will see it soon, however if you want to retain the OEM wiper, you will have to drill into the hatch, as it does not have the hole for the wiper. I hope that makes a bit more sense to you.

Default Oh yeah...

I missed the Mastergrade part (wasn't focused on/considering the name).

Thanks for your input. Much appreciated.
