I know there are buttons you hit to turn it beep on or off.

The beep I'm refering to the the beep sound you here that tells you the door is lock.

1. how do you turn it off?
2. How do you turn it on?

 

hold the lock and unlock button until the lights flash to turn it off and hold them again until the horn sounds to turn it back on

and to roll down the windows with the key fob just hold unlock

You can also roll the windows up by putting your key in the door and turn and hold clockwise to roll the windows up.

wow, is the only thing that comes to mind. For some reason i grew bored of reading the manual and thought i knew everything about the car. Knew about turning the key in the door to get the windows to come down but turning the horn off and opening windows from the remote? Which rock was i under. My audi didnt even do that.... wait, or did it

On a realted topic I have a question.

I keep mine set for no horn sound.

When I lock it, the lights flash but why don't they flash when I unlock it?

Could have sworn the owners manual says they should flash when the car is locked and unlocked too????

 

Mine dont flash when I unlock either. I thought it was normal?

 

Do neither you or your friend have an Owner's Manual?

Wow!!!! I just did this, it works.

 

With the KPtechnologies window module you can put the windows back up with the OEM remote (www.KPtechnologies.com)

KPtechnologies also has a module to replace the horn honk with a soft electronic beep like found stock on other high end cars.

If you go to the dealership they can program other honk/flash combinations with their scan tool, but with the remote you can only switch between the two options.
