Haven't notice a difference. But then again I usually play my music . . . LOUD

Thats good, I have been using a ghetto looking pipe/breaker bar to prop it up! I may have missed it, but what is your anticipated price on these?

Yup...same problem here...even with one of the stock shocks its still way too strong for the hatch...the hatch flexes every time u push it closed...i'd definitely be down for a pair of those weaker ones.

And then when its closed it isn't actually closed all the way. I could see daylight through the side! So I took them both off.

This is especially needed with those Mastergrade hatches, those puppies only weigh 14lbs !

The weight differences between different CF hatches will make it challenging to come up with a single workable solution. On top of that, I'm sure many with CF hatches end up installing wings as well.

If anyone out there has a CF hatch and wing combo and are fine using the OEM struts, please let me know.

Merry Christmas everyone!

You too bud, we must be loners...only people on the forums during christmas. I'll try to get all the weights for you next week including lexan glass, seibon hatch, mastergrade hatch, and some spoiler weights. I hope that will help a bit.

There is also people that have Lexan, different weight hatches, wiper deletes, different size wings, blah blah it just goes on and on... I think the best solution would be a more generic strength strut thats just barely weak enough to not buckle the cf hatch upward. Otherwise you need to make a handful of different struts depending on combination. Unless you can make maybe a really light strut for the extreme Lexan/wiperless/cf hatch and one for thats geared toward glassed or winged cf hatches.

is there a way to make it super light? I have lexan no wing no panels no nothing, just CF hatch and lexan.

I cant even roll the windows down past 40mph since my hatch will fly away

I think what I'll have to end up doing will be two tiers of light-duty struts. One for those with incredibly light hatches like yours, and a set for those with CF hatches and OEM glass.

I'm thinking forces of 66% and 33% lighter than OEM struts respectively.

having bought my hatch strut replacements from JT, i can vouch for his quality of work. The new ones look great, and they were everything i was hoping for. The replacements i got were meant to hold the OEM hatch, glass and spoiler, but wow, the quality was actually better than nissan's.

as a side note...this is getting me considering the mastergrade hatch, as that's a HUGE weight savings.
