Bought D2R bulbs....interchangeable with our D2S????

Bought D2R bulbs....interchangeable with our D2S????
i ordered d2s bulbs from a local parts place, they sent d2r, im assuming no they arent interchangeable but i figure maybe they are and theyre actually better....??????

well thats great news cus that means i got the right bulbs.........
but why the hell did i have d2s's in there before???? (used car mustve had dumb owners b4). maybe that explains the really poor light ouput?
