Somebody/thing scratched my car. opinions, pic included.
I called my insurance. If it was hit by a car the deductible is $500, vandalize the deductible is $100. Not sure what created that scratch, but that's what IM stuck with. I wouldent mind throwing some touch up paint on it but I don't know how well that would work, or if I should do that before showing my insurance company. Its down to the plastic. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
You can use it but I think it will be hard to get that smooth look especially if its down to the plastic. Like adding some molding or filler or whatever bodyshop guys use these days, then sand it out to make it smooth, then paint it over. You could just try it yourself and see how it goes. Wouldn't hurt anything and will look better than what it is now.

looks like someone nailed it with a shopping cart, looks about the same height as the bottom of the basket. You maybe able to fix it with out having to repaint the bumber, if you use someone thats good. Sorry to see that happen.
I am in the same seat except I have a dent to contend with on top of a scratch. IN your case, you can try fixing it yourself first. If you mess it up, you can still get it fixed after. Try this:

Duplicolor sells a fix-it kit that has all the things you'll need (except for paint, get that yourself): filler, sand paper, clear coat, glaze and polishing compound. You can get it on Amazon for $15. If it doesn't work, you blew $15 and hopefully learned something in the process. If it does work, keep your hundreds in your pocket and spend them on something else. Fixing things like this aren't hard. They just require a little bit of knowledge and the right ingredients. Good luck.

Yep. Nissan touch up paint in a bottle for $12. I have some mad touch-up-paint skills. My car is most likely 53% covered in touch up paint at any time and no one really notices. (that's a slight exaggeration)

Yea, i'm sorry as well, this really ruined my night. I was at the gym which has a grocery store near, so that sounds about right. I always park away from other cars, in the corner so somebody had to have done this on purpose.

uh....no.
