I e-mailed them about it and haven't heard back. I've ordered stuff from them before and know they are good people.

Is this thing a clean black finish and require not paint? I'm not a really huge fan of the carbon fiber ones because I'm really picky when it comes to carbon weave and clear coat imperfections.

Guess I'll be the first then. Well let you know how it looks when it gets here.

Carbon fiber is nice but I hate how it looks in direct sunlight because it shows everything including any all flaws/imperfections.

I bought one and it was semi-matte finish. Didn't really like it on my SB, so I bought a CF one. Looks much better. You should reconsider. It really has very little surface area to see any flaws.

By the way....I still have the first one. If you want to buy it, then PM me. I will let it go for like $ 35.00 + shipping. I have sanded it and have it painted glossy black. But it is kind of scratched right now. I can resand it so it will be ready for painting. I have all hardware & template needed.

Hey Chad. Good choice. That's actually a photo of my car that they used from thezstore ad for the air duct. I agree with you about going the non CF direction. Post pix when you can.

Hahaha I chickend out at first about installing this damn thing because I didn't trust the templete that came with it.

The templete is not as straight foreward/clear cut as a Varis templete because that one follows the actual sharpe rounded curve of the headlight and goes all the way up to the hood line and there is no way to mess that one up. This templete had two lines on the bottom for cutting and alignment, one of which goes off at a slight angle that is suppose to run along the edge of the bumper, I think. Funky as hell.

So intead of chucking it in the garbage LOL I placed the duct face down and traced the actual outer dimension of the intake on stiff paper to get a real time/actual size, then used their hole templete as a general idea of how much to cut out and exactlly how much bumper material I will have left for the 4 holes. So now I have a GOOD templete that I fully trust.

I also noticed the holes they drilled were to damn small and had to drill them out about a 1/64". Picked up tiny black allen head bolts, flat washer and nuts (same dia as the wood screws that came with the kit, that didn't fit in the duct holes). Also sanded a few burrs off they missed so it all fits perfect and flush. Also they didn't spray the edge barely at all but sharpie does wonders.

Now just gotta find the time to do it. Should be a piece of cake now.
