Default Touch Up Paint

well i just wanted to get you guys opinions on covering up rock chips on the z with this stuff... I know that almost all th z owners here have at least one chip.... There is this place thatll charge me 100 to clay bar and cover up all those chips and then buff it.... should i do this or will it come out like garbage and ulll be able to see the the paint...

after almost a year of daily driving my Z i have only had two rock chips on the hood, but the front bumper has a hand full more. the touch up will most likely help and if they buff and wet sand it should be virtually flawless. However as much as I love everything about the Z, I absolutely despise the incredibly delicate nature of the paint. This paint is extremely soft and susceptible to scratches and chipping. With that being said you may want to save your money and invest in a new paint job later down the road because even if you fix the chip now another could pop up just as easily. just my two cents.

I found a stupid paint chip on my car the other day and it looks like it got all the way down to the metal, what should I do? I don't want to use touch up and find rust popping through a couple years from now.

dude, if u're not going for a show. i'd do a bumper re-paint once year (if u got like tons of chips). otherwise, i'd just let it be, cuz i cba to do it everytime i'll get a chip.
