I've been reading up on the DIY and I think I can do it myself. I think the problem you had was they didn't secure the base and some people have reported breaking there linkage doing that because there is sooo much lock tite on there... I'm gonna try and do it myself if not I'll go to the stealership...

Thanks that's an awesome pic... does it ever get hot? I remember seeing someone with like a red bride wrist band and was looking in to getting something like that incase it's cold/hot.

Took em just for you!! Sorry about the quality....
It took less than 5 minutes to put it on... You should try it right now! Make sure to use vice-grip or something to hold on to the shift rod underneath the **** while twisting it off.

I'm jealous love the factory nav/in dash setup... looks nuts and thanks for the pics. I should be able to install tomorrow and since I couldn't find a proper write up, I will do one for anyone with questions...You think there would be more video installs and DIY's like the guys on horsepower...

So I got in early and was too anxious to wait so I installed it and It was a b****... I heard stories where it's really hard to unscrew to begin with then finally loosened up but this was tight through every single turn.. My hands are killing me but It's done and looks awesome!!! Other than the unscrewing it's a straight forward install and still plan on doing a write up. One question though... there was a little cylindrical thing where the finisher would sit and didn't know if I needed to keep it on there and it seemed like it fit inside the inner part of the finisher so I kept it there and screwed on the new ****.... Went for a drive and it seems like it's rattling!!! Should I unscrew it and remove that cylinder... It's late and can't think of the name!!! looks like the inner part of a ball bearing..
