With silver base coat I heard the color is going to be more intense, redish side of orange. I opted for lighter shade of orange, hence only the white base coat...

Yeah this is where people go wrong with lamborghini paint, it has to be a white base coat otherwise it will not be bright enough. You'll like it. I had three cars painted lamborghini colors and about to do my fourth one
The colors really pop out since its a three phase paint job.
Heres some old pictures of my car that took at night also, it shows how bright the color is, just to give you an idea what it looks like in the dark ..just scroll down to the middle of the page.
