i thought about painting them to match. but longevity becomes and issue. with the oils on your hand i am sure the paint would either fade or scratch due to dirt from everyday driving. not to mention the door handles are unique to the Z so why not show them off. It would match great with my chrome rims.

I didnt paint the metal OEM handles, I got plastic ones that are very durable and hold paint well. After 5 years they look and feel the same as the day I bought them. But if that is the look you are going for then go for it.

All Zs came with plastic ones I believe...at least thats what mine seems to be when I took them off before. It's just finished in that aluminum outer coating that makes it look like they're "metal"

Super easy bro

1. Open your door
2. Remove the 2 plastic rubber pieces right behind the door handles
3. Use a 10mm long socket to remove the 2 bolts behind the rubber pieces (be careful not to let the bolts drop down into the door or you'll be really pissed taking off the whole door to find it.
4. Slide the door handles out
5. To re-install just do the same thing but reserve the instruction.

I doubt your going to find aluminum or chrome door handles for the Z.

If you do find chrome, post a pic. You'll get grief from others but I like chrome.

There is no company that makes such a thing, so if this is a route you really want to go, you would have to find a place that would make them custom.

i think it would match my chrome wheels, as well as really bring out the door handles which are unique on the Z. i have looked everywhere and cant find anybody.
