PIC request, carbon fenders, on car, unpainted
All,
I had a slight accident that just affected my drivers fender. Damage is about $600, my deductible is $1000 (gonna get that lowerd soon), and I can pick up a set of carbon fenders for $500. So my debate is on, to buy the carbon fenders, get them painted later this year, or stay stock and get it fixed for $600. I have very little exterior mods right now, running LMS with dark tinted windows, smoked front reflectors and lowered, I plan to get a set of gunmetal rims within the next month as well which may make it look not so weird with carbon fenders. Thoughts suggestions??? Thanks!

I havent seen many with un-painted carbon fenders... Ive seen them where they are painted up to match the A pillar which was also carbon fiber.
Seibon has them on a VW R32 with carbon hood and it looks alright nothing great.
I would get a non carbon fiber set of aftermarket fenders that have a vent or something unique on it (just not M3/Amuse style) IMO

remember seeing unpainted Seibon fenders on DB Z awhile ago now. It didn't look bad but it may get mistaken for patch body work if it doesn't go well with the rest of the car. Personally, I would get them and have them either completely paint matched or fade the vent. From this, you can pick up your wheels and look at the possibility of adding a full body kit.
It maybe a tad out of the traditional order of things but can work out nonetheless.

I would love to get them and have them paint matched but that puts me a bit overbudget for the repair. Also there isnt a damn vent, just stock CF Seibon fenders found in our marketplace. I'm back to high consideration of just getting a new fender and fixing the problem back to stock....
