Default '03-'04 Headlight Swap Question

Sorry if this is a repost, but I couldn't find this question asked before. I have a 2004 and the HIDs were banged up, so I bought a set of '03s from a member on here. When I went to do the swap, I saw that main harness plug on the car (female) was three-pronged, where the '03 lights (male) were four-pronged: <p>

Has anyone ever had this problem before? I there an adaptor available to make these work? Or does the headlight (or the car's harness) need to be rewired? Thank for your help...

03-05 are exactly the same unless one is HID and the other is not. Are you sure you bought an HID light from an 03? Non HID lights use 3 prong.

Or wait, ... You're saying that your car is 3 prong and your lights are 4? Is your car a base model by chance?

The car has a 3 prong harness. The weird thing is the internals and the backsides of both sets of the headlights look exactly the same, and the ignitors etc look like stock nissan parts HID parts.... has anyone ever heard of this? Could an HID conversion have been done with the 3-prong by the previous owner (I dont have the background of the car)?

I would guess that your car is a base model with HID upgrade.

Thanks. Going to have to re-wire these.
