Default OEM wing install question???

I just got my OEM wing kit and it has new hydraulic hatch lifts. Do I need to swap them out or is it just part of the port assembly?

Default Swap 'em

You need to swap them out due to the weight difference.

They are for the weight difference, but I left my OEM originals on because: 1) I will wait to see if they wear out. 2) I removed the rear wiper assembly (wiper, motor, etc), which weighs more than the wing, and 3) The wing only weighs maybe 2 lbs. So, I have extra struts for later on down the road when the originals fail.

What did you think of the install? I did mine last night, it was pretty easy considering I have never done anything like that before. I was a little nervous about drilling holes into the hatch, but everything worked out great.
