Default A question about the CF lip add on - 350z

How real does the carbon fiber look? is it the cheesy looking checkered type? or does it actually have like a real cf layer?

All the CF kits that are out are real CF, like the Veilside for example.

NO,..now the JDM front CF diffuser add on offered by courtesyparts.com is "Carbon Look"---not real!

but most others are real!

as far as the way it looks,...the "look" stuff looks like Checkerd paper underneath a clear coat--like the NISSAN one
Others are hand woven(w/ clear) and look awesome,..trust me you can tell if its fake!

I have the Veilside v.1 CF front lip. It is very high quality and was extremely easy to install. It looks great too!! I will take pictures one of these days...

Seems like it could be easily stolen. How does it go on?

It is attached by using existing 4 screws under the front bumper and some double sided tape to stick it to the front air dam lip... it is a really tigh fit though, I know you will not need to worry about it will fall off during your drive... but not sure about the stealing case though!

As I got that lip in australia... not sure about in the US... I got that for 1K AUS dollars... as AUS is a bit stronger relative to the US dollars now.... so it might not be that accurate just to work out the exchange rate now!

Check with your local dealer!

cheers,

richie

I like the lip... however, you are paying for the carbon fiber side of it... and to be honest I think I'd rather paint mine the same color of the car's body. That carbon fiber look isn't going to look very attractive on a LeMan's car... too black...

I can't decide between this lip and the other one that's out.... The other one is like a spoiler...

The fact that I don't have to paint it is one of the reasons why I got it. Don't have to mess with the hassle and cost, or worry about the color matching and the paint chipping off.

You're right about the LeMans though, might look better painted.
