Default my car, version3.0

well after about 11 months of my car off the road, it is back!!! rebuilt the motor again, and added hks headgaskets and 1/2" head studs to fight off head gasket leakage. that was the plan 11 months ago. well, now a few extra body parts and new paint and new wheels, haltech and nitrous is how that little engine rebuild ended up.
i can't seem to capture the true color of the car as these pics make it appear like the stock db, but it is much darker, richer, and alot more purple than db. yes, it is a full color change. harlequin flames with the main color of the harlequin matching the base color exactly makes them appear, disappear, and come back different colors. not sure if a camera will ever capture the true view of it that you see in person. need to seek professional photo help!! lol
the paint, motor, body work, and every single part of the car was built by myself with many parts fabricated. only hand other than mine to touch the car, has been john reed to tune it. i do have a sickness and the only cure is MORE CAR MODS (cowbell optional)
tune needs to be finished up as it is only tuned to 7 psi right now. will be shooting for 800rwhp on race fuel and a 100hp shot. if it doesn't hit that, then more n20!!

now the disclaimer: i don't give a rats azz if you would or would not do this to your Z. if you do not like the paint/wheels/interior/pictures and want to try and berate it, then please post pics of your own car along with your negative comments. i don't like my car looking like others and try to go opposite of the crowd!

now i am starting to move to the inside and installing the old comp stereo out of my other car.

one show, one big trophy so far, lol.

He made it himself I believe. (I think if you do a search he shows what he did.)

Car looks good btw.

edit: I think a difuser on the rear would look good.

^ correct, just grabbed a cutting wheel and went for it! version 2.0 of the car was a couple years ago, and had done something similar to the front bumper to get better cooling. made the design a little different this time (honestly the first version was the best i think). i found out though from the first version that on the freeway during the summer the integrity of the bumper cut as much as the first version was like paper. it flexed and got warped and looked kind bad after a year. the car now has another bumper with 2 layers of EXTREMELY thick fiberglass mat laminated behind that section and then the holes cut out. way stronger than stock even with the cut outs now and temp will have no effect.

pics of the first version

btw- that greddy spoiler and front bumper from before got hammered one night doing 140mph and hitting a huge road kill. it pretty much exploded, lol.

ya man. i have not made my mind up about what to do on the rear!! the top secret would look good, but i kinda want to build my own that will stretch to the rear suspension of the car and have abit more true performance effect and look good. i already have the materials to do it and a pretty good idea of a design, just need more time.

lol, yep I asked you about that when I was dropping the engine off. Glad to see it went to good use.

And I see what you meant about the radiator outlet being on the opposite side. Your solution looks hot though.

+1 for originality dude , although I've always thought flames were reserved for 30's & 40's rods - then again it's original, hence my run-on sentence stating what I've said in the first place > +1 for originality

I would draw little faces on the 'flames'. they look like goat's heads to me

cool stuff, though I am a fan of the rims sticking out of the fender look!

i am still abit old school. hard to come up with a new flame design, but this is it. i have 3 vehicles (one a truck) with flames on them, lol. not sure why i am hung up on it, hahha. when you can paint the stuff yourself and do whatever you want to do, i guess trying to do the perfect and most original flame job was my goal. i ran out of other cars to try it on and did the Z, lol. in oregon, it is not like so. cal or florida. the flames gets attention from even the old timers at the shows around here and the blend is actually pretty smooth and not overpowering. old school on a newer car.

the rims are extremely rare. didn't stop me from refinishing them like that though. hard to tell from the pics but the face of the spokes are brushed, lug nut area polished, and inner and outer rim in satin black. bolts were orinally black so had to reverse plate them and polish them all out. i heard in this size and original finish, it was one of 2 sets work ever made!
