Default Cusco roll cage with cf optional bar installed!

It took me a whole day to put it in with no help and it really sucked lol.
At first i hated it because i didnt have the trunk bars bolted in and it made all kinds of noise and rattled like no end but once i put the back bars in it was fine. Now i love it!! I plan on road racing the car in the summer. i know it wasnt necessary to put it in but i love how it made the car more aggressive looking not to mention better handeling.

Good job! Looks good. It would hurt me though to cut into the plastic.

I like it..awesome job..what did it cost and where did you get it? I am actually going to be in the Big Bend Open Road Race next month, but am racing in the 110MPH class that doesnt require a cage..but still thinking about installing one...PM me if anything..Thanks

So can you use that cf bar as a harness bar? I always wondered why the cusco cages didn't have one standard.

I would hate to roll over with that bar. It would end up killing you.

the only other thing i had to cut was the carpet but with floor mats you cant even tell. fitment was great. the rear glove box still opens all the way but it rubs a little bit. also no more sunvisors theyu dont come down.

Sucks that you cant use the cf bar to mount harnesses, I thought maybe it was aluminum or steel simply wrapped in CF for appearances. CF itself would obviously not be structurally sound enough as a mounting point for harnesses in such a small diameter.

But it sure looks pretty

That's a bummer!! Then what's the point of getting that carbon fiber bar? For more rigidity?? I'm also planning on getting the cusco roll cage.. I plan to weld the joints, and I guess I'm gonna have to fabricate my own harness bar.

Do you think this roll cage is really that weak? What if I weld the joints?
