This mod might be good for someone who is having a kid and does not want to part with their Z. Seems like no one is taking things like that into consideration.
Some day I will have kids and I have been trying to draw up some sort of carriage that would fit between the rear strut bar and the speaker panels. The baby seat would be custom, sideways and laying down. MY wife says there is no way she would let me put a child back there.

Its a crazy and possibly a bad idea, but some of us look into all out options if we want to keep our Z.

I believe the moment you install a child seat in the rear of the Z, Child Services comes to your house, takes your children and castrates you so you can no longer reproduce.

At least thats what I've heard.

I am sure they would. From what I understand the child seats have to be tested and meet some sort of code. I have another car with back seats that the Kid would be riding in, then the Z would become the Toy. Only problem is that car is much harsher and louder than my Z. Its it least got really comfortable seats.

That would be a good idea. Next you could cut some holes in the rear hatch so their heads could stick out of the top.

Wow, these posts are all over the place, lol.

Could we get someone to delete that photoshop from this thread... it makes my 350z quiver and sad.

LOL I am smiling to myself at how angry people are at this question! I agree it's a ridiculous concept, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong.

Say what!?

The 911 was not designed as and has never been designated as a “2+2.” Rear jump seats do not make a “2+2.”

We can argue about this all day, so this will go nowhere. To me, Porsche designed the 911 (for the last several generation at least) with rear seats (small or not), which to me means that the car was designed as a 2+2. However, we're talking semantics here because this still has nothing to do with a 350Z .

Neither car (the current Z or the 911) was designed as a 2+2, but both have space to accomodate rear jump seats. If you look at Nissan's previous models, you see that there has always been a provision (space) for a rear seat in the non-convertible models. Actually, there was 2+2 Z, but never a 2+2 Porsche 911.

Wondering about a 2+2 Z model? How about the 1979 Datsun 280ZX 2+2?

Still dont understand the insult attacks, internet does wonders for those who need to flex. And the keychain in my sig REALLY does add 50 hp!!!11 (sarcasm)

I've never seen the backseat of a G35 to be honest- and since they are sister cars.... wtf, G35 has a backseat.. who the hell fits in it? As I stated, my buddy was curious and really knows nothing about the cars.

Regardless.. a supposed stupid questions has generated interesting convo about the uselessness of 2+2 seating in some cars.

this has nothing to do w/ 'knowing about cars.' just take a gander @ the area behind the seats of the Z. theres barely room for luggage.

this really has to be the most retarded thread i have seen for awhile.

did you guys really take a look at the car when ya bought it? maybe should of checked with the wife first? can't believe some of you guys are serious about putting a jimmyboombatchy back seat into your z! then to put your own kid back there!! darwin awards for you sir!!
sell the car or save up and get a $1000 mini van!! don't see why a thread was started for this.
