Thumbs down Do not buy from Z-Force!

I attempted to purchase a NISMO oil cap from Z-Force. He sent me a cheap knock-off oil cap with a Nismo sticker that can be applied to the top. I let him know that this was not a NISMO oil cap as it clearly says "Euro Type R" on the box and that I would like a refund. I would not recommend buying anything from him based on my experience with him. For example, here are his last three responses from PM's:
PM from Z-Force
it says nismo on the oil cap...
PM from Z-Force
ok...this is where i got it....it says JDM nismo oil cap....if u have any prob with it then u should contact them.... i will not take back any item.
PM from Z-Force
ahahaha...false advertisement?? ahahha i dont think so....does it say Nismo on the cap yes i think so...i dont think i'm making false advertisement u can do whatever u want u recieved the item it's not like i didnt sent it out...i'm not going to waste my money for the shipping. Basically i dont care, that's what i got online and that's what they advertised for so u can file anything u want i dont care... if i were u i will just sell it, u can take any action u want i dont care....

report him to the better business. thats pretty much false advertising. Its like selling $10 walmart sneakers with a nike swoosh stuck on for $100. Its not a nike. and clearly thats not a nismo cap.

You should contact the mods about this situation. Also I think we should have a good/bad transaction thread. That way we know who is good and who is bad. What do you guys think?

I let Mike know about the situation and asked permission to post the details. He said it was fine as long as it wasn't a just a flame fest and also to post it in this forum.

I have filed a complaint with PayPal so hopefully they will resolve the situation. If not my credit card will reverse the charges.

BTW, I have a "Nizmo Euro Type R JDM spec" oil cap for sale - CHEAP!

Look pal. It's obvious YOU knew what you were selling and it is also obvious that you intended on passing it off as a NISMO product. Unless you SPECIFICALLY stated that it was a replica or in some way NOT authentic, you have commited fraudulent advertisement.

It's pretty sad that it took POWERZ's calling you out in this thread for you to offer him a refund. Why didn't you just refund his $ when he asked for it instead of waiting for your name to be posted here? Pretty stupid. Now not only will you never sell anything here, but your name is pretty much trash too.

Good business move buddy!

Hmm, you really should have just refunded the guy's money. It sounds like you knew you were selling him a product under false pretenses.

Now, as Bonz said, instead of just losing money, you've lost any credibility you have. That's hard to get back.

I considered this cap when Z-Force first listed it. Because of the price, I researched it a little. I communicated w/Z-Force via PM twice ref. the cap. I don't have them saved but basically it went like this.

Is this a real NISMO oil cap or like the ones on Ebay?

Yes, its the one on Ebay.

Just to be sure, is this the one it looks like: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33622

Yeah that's it!

Now, IMHO, Z-Forces response weren't the right/best way to handle it. I see how the post could have been misleading.

On the other hand, we as buyers need to watch out too (Buyer Beware). Just do a liitle research to protect ourselves and sharing info on shady deals/vendors is a good idea too.

I don't know what Z-Forces intentions were. Maybe fraudulent (spelling), maybe just poor communications. Either way it turned ugly but it appears to fixed now.

As I said, I don't know wht the intentions were, but do we ban/exhile people for poor judgement? Hopefully everyone learned from it.

POWERZ, I appreciate why and how you went about bringing this up. This post is in no way meant as flame or saying you were in the wrong. Just wanted to share my opinon on this subject.

I have bought & sold on this forum with nothing but great results. I think as a whole this forum is made up of some real good people.

I'm rambling now, no sleep for 2 days...... Blah, blah, blah...

I understand what you are saying. I also sent zforce a couple PMs inquiring about the cap. I did not, however think to ask if it was genuine or not. I assumed NISMO meant NISMO and not "Euro Type R with Nismo sticker included." The first pic I saw on eBay looked like the one I've seen on this forum and on Courtesy Parts. Plus he told me a friend got him one as a gift but he already had one. Good enough for me. The thought of a Z owner having knock-off parts on his car and receiving duplicates as gifts never crossed my mind.

I guess my point is, if it wasn't listed on this forum by a fellow Z driver I would have been much more cautious. I guess I'll know better next time...

Anyway, as soon as I get a refund I will ship the cap back to zforce, cancel the cases with PayPal and my credit card, and post the resolution in this thread. Thank you guys for the support.

Dan

Yep yep.. bad grammar, the number one indication that you are dealing with someone inept.

If learning how to properly communicate in English is hard, just look how difficult it is to do something as simple as sell an oil cap!

POWERZ THANK U!!!!!

I was considering purchasing that oil cap as it appeared to b a cheaper 'genuine Nismo' cap alternative (no mention of it being a copy in the add) to the one on CourtesyParts.com for example. So not only have u provided me with the idea of those spanking LED parkes, but also saved me some cash and personal humiliation!!

ZFORCE ur a ******!!! I have no empathy for guys who use Ebay as a means of ripping ppl off, using the distance behind their computer monitor as a confidence builder.

Unfortunately what he had done is not illegal. Unethical yes, but not illegal. In this case here it's simply buyer beware. These types of shady deals are rampant all the time on ebay and you have to be careful or else you will end up a dissatisfied customer.

I just like his response:

"ahahaha...false advertisement?? ahahha i dont think so....does it say Nismo on the cap yes i think so...i dont think i'm making false advertisement u can do whatever u want u recieved the item it's not like i didnt sent it out...i'm not going to waste my money for the shipping. He's so understanding and caring! haha how rude, this guy obviously KNEW he was selling a product that was falsely advertised.. and he KNEW he cant really go after him. Indeed, buyer beware. I just love how "he doesnt care" and tries to suggest selling it to someone else! RUDE.

Oh well, what comes around goes around.
