Question Paint experts: need help!

OK, to make a really long story short, I have some chips on one of my front Brembo calipers and need touch-up advice. If you'd like to see the whole story, see my FreshAlloy thread:
http://forums3.freshalloy.com/ubbthr...b=5&o=&fpart=1

I've already discovered there is no matching high temp brake paint. It's been reported that Brembo themselves don't even have a paint code for this color (I tried to call myself, but they're closed this week). This would not surprise me though, as I remeber reading here a long while back that our Brembos are actually Japan made brakes re-badged as Brembos; kind of like our Bose head unit made by Clarion.

My question is: would regular automotive touch-up paint of a matching (or close to it) color hold up on the calipers for just touching up a couple of nicks?

The Le Mans Sunset looks to be pretty close. Honda also has a dark gold color they used on the civics a year or two ago that might work. I believe Chrystler has a similar color as well.

Any ideas? Advice? I'm rapidly running out of options.

Yes, regular paint used to touck up areas will work if the area is clean. Actually, I painted my calipers on my Integra GSR by first spraying a primer, then regular paint. Stayed on nice for the three years I owned the car (including Canadian winters).
