Default Paint Cracks?

So I was washing my car yesterday and came over some what I think are paint cracks. The cracks on the right side are much more advanced then the ones on the left side. I tried taking a picture up close to see the cracks, but my camera was acting stupid. Ill just show where they are coming from. (see red circles in pic)

I am not really sure what is causing these, anybody have an idea?

Exactly, it irks me every time I look at it.

I wish there was a way to fix it, and knew what was causing it.

Just a thought, but maybe sometimes the hatch slams down too hard and causes too much pressure on there? IDK...

Those are stress cracks. Did you add some sort of trim to the rear lights? Did you remove the bumper to change the backup lights?

I did add that chrome trim when I first got it. I am going to take it off though because I don't think it fits well with the spoiler I just put on.

Why would that cause the stress cracks though?

The “V” is a weak point in the bumper. You stuck the trim between the taillight and bumper “stressing” the bumper. I am 90 percent sure that is the cause.
