Default Aerosync Bumper Problem

After mounting this Aerosync bumper the fitment is just off. The front where it attaches closest to the middle there are two dimples in the top part of the bumper. I am not too good with fabricating things to make this work but was wondering if anyone else with this bumper had this issue or anyone has any advice on fixing it. This is a pic that I think you can see where it looks off.....

I will take more soon. Been driving me crazy.

My stock one is all sorts of jacked up. Love bugs ate it all up. Just sitting in my garage taking up space. I tried putting it on with my intercooler on there now and it looks weird. I like the aerosync but wish I could just get the fitment a little better. 2'' ground clearance is a bit rough too....

toggle bolts with washers. just push the side in where you want it and screw the toggle bolts on should only need 1 for each side. the aerosyncs usually fit well

Mine has the same issue. It doesn't fit properly under the headlights and there is a sag in the middle of the bumper Thats what I get for going cheap though.

My body shop was able to install my Aerosync bumper dead on. The headlight area & the middle WILL sag if not adjusted. The 6 holes on the top of the bumper that attach to the radiator support need to adjusted slightly. My shop drilled new holes and used shims to attach. Hope this helps.

yep - the bumper is urethane, and has "pull" to it. You can shift the mounting points slightly which will allow the bumper to be pulled more tought, so there is no sag, etc.

My bumper is messed up bc the aluminum bumper is no longer behind it to hold it up. The 5'' intercooler doesnt allow me to mount it. Sooooooo i suppose it will stay a little droopy until i figure out a solution....

jamie - like anything else it's all in the installation. If the body shop takes the time to do it right, it will fit perfectly.

My aerosync has the same problem. 2 dimples right where the top middle of the bumper meets the hood. It bothers me soooo much

OK great well i will bear that in mind and mention to them prior to fitment about it.

I notice there are like some template 'marks' on where to drill the holes in the bumper, though i assume these are only rough guides and should not be used ?

best bet is to test fit and mark where you need to make the exact holes - you'll find the indentations are the general area where the holes need to be made, and you might want to make them an oval shape to allow you to shift the bumper as needed for the tighest fit, and then tighten everything down.
