Default Urethane Nismo **** Installed Pics..

Here is the nismo urethane **** installed pics. I'll drive it tomorrow, but so far it feels great. Super grippy too so it'll get better with heat. The only problem is the shift boot doesn't want to fit snug up in the **** for a clean look. Maybe some gluegun action will do??

Oh ya and the price on eBay dropped to $59 Oh well..

I have seen the TI and the urethane which you have.

I will be interested in hearing your shifting impressions (feeling, throw, etc) using the NISMO urethane -vs- stock.

thanks

For a fix that'll leave a lot less residue (and potential problems with taking the **** off later), unscrew the **** and remove the boot. Take a pretty long rubber band (med-heavy thickness) and keep looping it around the end of the exposed shift lever to form a stopping ring basically. Then put the boot back on, and put the **** on, but don't screw it tight yet. Make sure the boot is snug against the base of the ****. If it isn't, then roll the rubber band ring up a little more. Then simply tighten the **** and you're set. I did this for my last shift ****. It worked great!

This **** feels great
You can feel the gears engaging
I'll try to find a spacer /ring to put between the **** and boot.

Performance Nissan sells this for 45 bucks plus shipping. I have one too! They look and feel awesome. It's a great addition. At first I hated it, looked way too small out of the box. But once I installed it, it quickly grew on me, I would never go back to stock.

I have one too. It's quite small, so if you have big hands it might not be comfortable to you.

Try using 3/4" heat shrink tube if you want the boot to stay down. Cut the tube to about 1.5" and slip it over the shaft wraping it around the tip of the boot and under the nut. Shrink it and you have a nice black shaft to match the urethane ****. Now when you grab the ****, the boot won't be rubbing your hand.

is there any good reason for me to spend an extra 90 bucks to get the titanium gt shifter instead of the urethane one? 45 bucks seems like a steal.

Can someone with this ****, please post the diameter and height of the shifter? Also, about how much shorter vs. stock is it once installed?

Thanks in advance.

i have the gt titanium one and i love the weight to it. i can feel the shift as to say a little better. But in the winter it is ice cold and in the hot weather it is like a hot coal. It's a nice shifter to use and easy to hang on to.
