bro, i had my lights painted by him as well and he is a good guy, something really must be wrong for him to just disappear like that. you certainly are taking this well too, kudos for that and best of luck to you. if you do have buy new lights, have him reimburse you the expense.

I had my lights also done by Mr. Zipps and they came out excellent until they also started to built a haze. I heard its from the paint not being cured all the way and gases being released I was going to send them back to him but I got crazy and sent them off to clearcorners.com.

How did you get Mr.Zipps to fix ur headlights? I contacted him about the same thing happening to my headlights "wierd hazing and streaks inside the lense". He told me that there is nothing he can do. This happened to my headlights in less than a month while parked in the garage. I didn't even get to drive it.

I just emailed him and sent him pics. The haze I had was the plastic being eaten away. He said it was the first time he had seen that happen. But then again, before he painted them he told me he was going to use a different paint to make them satin black like I wanted.
He was originally very cooperative and then all of a sudden nothing. I started getting worried so I checked on here and myspace, neither of which he has signed on to since the 10th of April.

He responded to my emails and i sent him picks. Does it look like hundreds of little crystals inside your lenses that fog them up? When he replied back he told me that it happens all the time to the new 07 headlights and there was nothing he could do about it. So i have to replace me lenses with some new ones and go with a different vendor.

I had him do my 06' lights with OEM black paint (almost a year ago) and they still look brand new.. Are you sure its on the inside of the lens and not the outside of the lens oxidizing? If that's the case its pretty normal with Nissan headlights unfortunately...
Only weird thing I noticed when I got my lights back was a rainbow effect on the lens, but after couple months 90% of it went away, only during certain times of the day at certain angles can you barely see it..
