I sent my lights to him at the end of January/Early February while my car was down. He painted them last summer and they were good for a while but then formed a crazy haze on the lense. I sent them to him for him to repair, but he informed me they were pretty much screwed. He offered to buy me new lenses and send me my lights back...it's April 23rd and I don't have them back and my car has been done since the 10th of April.

I have emailed him numerous times and finally received and email back from someone telling me he's away for personal reasons and my lights are painted, they just need to be put together. I missed HIN DC and a tuning appt. because I don't have my lights. And now I'm worried about missing ZDAYZ because of my lack of headlights.

I sent an email today telling whoever wrote me the last email, to just package my lights and I'll put them back together myself, but haven't received a response.

This is in no way a call out, just wondering if anyone has heard from him. Is he ok? I don't think he's scamming me or anything, I just need my lights!

That sucks bro, he or somebody over there needs to tighten up, cause you can't miss Zdayz again, especially when you're dippin out to the Rockies shortly after.

Well like I said, I don't think he's scamming me. I just need my lights back. I've missed an event ( HIN DC ) I bought tickets for and a hotel room I couldn't cancel. I wanted to go to Forged Peformance this weekend, but that's not happening either. I don't want to seem insensitive to any personal business he has, but at the same time, I need my lights so I can drive my car. Ya know?

I just don't want to miss ZDAYZ. I'll buy new lights before I miss ZDAYZ again.

Well I'm trying to be as civil and understanding as possible. May 1st, the gloves come off. One of our most frequent customers is a very prominent lawyer in Charlotte who already knows of this situation.

 

Damn it sucks to hear about things like this. I hope that he makes this right for you. Sounds like you have lost more money in the long run from missing HIN and the hotel room also. Sounds like some kind of compensation is needed to make things right.

 

I don't even care about compensation, I just want to be able to drive my car. I started tearing it apart on the 14 of December and it was finally finished on the 10th of April, and I can't "legally" drive it.

I had nothing but good things to say about Mr. Zipps until just recently the communication went to ZERO. Hopefully he gets his personal business sorted out soon.

I would still recommend him, he does good work and I have gotten many MANY compliments on my lights, but the lack of communication is just ridiculous. I don't think he can afford to start slacking with CIN City doing lights now as well as being an actual sponsor on the forum ESPECIALLY because they do excellent work and QUICKLY.

Never know what the personal thing maybe. He might be in the hospital or somehting. I know when i dealt with him he had some of the best customer service Ive dealt with. Considereing he painted and mailed back my lights on christmas eve. Hope things work out.

 

^^^that's exactly why I am being calm about it. He very well could be dealing with some serious stuff, so I'm trying to be understanding.

Jumpin, I did new valve springs, some engine cosmetic stuff, heat coating, and a custom exhaust that will be revealed to the Z community soon

I'll also be joining the salad bar club at the end of the week haha.
