i am looking into getting an aftermarket antenna. does anyone know what size the base(screw) of the antenna is?? the aftermarket antenna is 5mm and i just want to make sure that it'll fit before i buy it. thanks in advance for all your help!

 

i'm pretty sure the base of the Z antenna is 5mm...about 99%

 

Order the S2000 antenna from "HANDA Accessories" it's 7 inches long. Works fine, no reception problems, got it for $16 and in 4 days.

 

i agree - i have an s2000 antenna on mine with no reception problems. i htink it looks 10x better.

 

I thought it was a lot of fun dropping by the Honda dealer to pick up the antenna. It was only $20 and I did the shipping and handling. The only problem I had was the crowd of Honda salesmen blocking my way as I tried to get back into the car.

FYI, the S2000 antenna has a very slight overhand off the base connection to the Z but you'll never notice it. About the thickness of a dime.

Having the stock antenna in reserve is a good idea with the idiots that like to break or rip off antennas still roaming.
