Default painted center dash

I bought an 03 center dash panel with a retractable cubby door. MY 05 interior is black, so I had to paint this first. I bought a satin black paint to keep it looking stock, but it came out glossy. Almost like a heavy coat of armour all. I put it in for now like this but I will be repainting with a flat black. Don't pay to much attention to the stereo, It will be coming out soon.

Here are the pics.

you gotta sand that ish down first.

it does look kind of funky, though im not sure how better a flat black would look.

you didnt like the two tone look? It was only offered for 03's.

Flat black will be alot better, no glare/gloss or uneveness.

I think I'm going to try sanding it down a little; then I'll go from there. If all else fails I'll go carbon fiber.

It's not what you think It's sodium build up, just need to shampoo it out.

You could have primed it with a high-build epoxy primer if you demanded a smooth finish.

If the finish the good, and the texture of the center console doesn't make it look too weird, I say leave it glossy.

+1

I think it gives some pizzaz to the plain dull dash. It's not so glossy to be gaudy.
