wow. thats alot of oxidation & rust...

ever thought of setting the length on the car, then doing a Krylon (rust protection)paint spray over to protect it? guess too late now-

i'm not sure CF is the ideal material for a tow hook. I feel like it would crack and drop your car in the middle of the freeway.

It wouldn't be used for towing DUH! It would just be for looks.

if its just for looks. just get a sticker and an arrow that goes TOW -->
the real tow hooks are all mostly universal.. and is custom mounted to the car.. the trend is moving toward tow straps..for their ease of installation

I have had that exact tow hook pictured on my car for about a month now no rust or anything. Still looks brand new!

Looks like it's only zinc plated.. Basically in that pic you have high tensile carbon steel covered with zinc.. The zinc acts as a rust protective barrier but is not rust proof and will eventually rust away depending on a number of factors.. For that price, you are definitely being ripped off... The entire product needs to be made out of stainless steel.. A 410 grade Stainless will do.
