hey what's up guys. My headlights have small fractures in them that cannot be fixed so this is what i want to do. i want to buy some cheapies headlights from ebay just for the lenses to put them on my old set.. the reason for this is because the hid headlights for the z are pretty expensive. anyhow has anyone else done this and any recommendations. will any year lenses fit on the 03 i believe so but just checking.

 

You are correct. I've done it countless times. Be carefull though, non OEM lights don't always have great fitment. I've had to scrap a few because the screw holes didn't line up or the cover was jacked on the inside. For the most part, it's a good swap. And DO NOT forget the OEM sealant. OEM! Not some home depot type ****. Trust me on this.

Do to the lenses??? Not sure what you mean? Are you talking about the actual light parts (ie, paint, halo, STi clear lens, demon eye mod, LED swap, color shift mods, Audi mod, built in toaster... ), or do you really mean the lenses?

 

i mean possibly painting the inside. painting the orange reflector/turnisignal black.

 

Might as well if you're already going to be in there.
