You might want to let us know what 350z trim you have. Most already have HID unless it's a 03-04 base trim. If your car already have HID, you might just get bulbs vs HID kit.

On the melting part, it's the color temperature and not the heat. It shouldn't melt your housing. If your car did not come with HID, you might want to invest in some quality HID kit because if not, you might need to mod your housing (not sure on this part).
