Default Xenon 12K HID Kit

Anyone know if this kit is to hot and could possibly melt the stock housing?

Consider the STi JDM replica clear lens swap mod if you're interested in getting a MUCH better light output with fantastic cut off using your stock HIDs. I have the lenses if you need a set and are able to DIY. Other wise, like mentioned above, stay away from anything above 6k IMO.

The vehicle's wiring would probably start on fire in attempt to end it's own embarrassment.

I tell you, I ask for a suggestion and get totally bashed. And this is suposed to be a forum? Unreal. I'm new to the 350z and trying to learn here so I can be a part of the gang. Forget it. . .

People will be jackasses thats just they way it is, ignore them an move on...

On a serious note, 12K is way too high unless you'll be using them for a show. Otherwise i'd stick in the 5000K or 6000K range if you want that bluish color. Above that and you start losing a good deal of light, and the headlamps on the Z aren't that great to begin with.

All HID's are pretty much the same in terms of temperature and such, there isn't much of a difference at all between the different color ranges. HID's don't generate as much heat as halogens so I don't think it will be a problem.

If you plan on actually driving around at night with the car I'd just stick some 5000K's in and be done with it. The more blue/purple you add the more rice you add. I know a lot of BMW's and such look like purple from a distance, but thats just because of the cutoff shield is bluring the light a bit so the color changes at the edge. If that's what you want you need to retrofit some different brand of projectors into your 350Z headlamp housings.

Or you could get the STi cutoff lens.

Noobs training noobs.
