Cool Dry ice dent repair

Well last year a hail storm pummeled my car. Insurance company said the i could wait to get it fixed. I have a 500 deductible and was going to use the "GOV'MENT MONEY " to get it fix. I just saw where you can use dry ice to pop out dents. So today after work I'll try it. Just got the dry ice from work and waiting to get off to try it. I'll post pics if it works well.

A couple of friends of mine tried this and said it didn't work. I don't know though, give it a shot and let us know.

Please let me know how this works out for you... After 3 weeks in the body shop, a fresh coat of paint, and my car looking better than the day I bought it... it lasted 6 days before getting shot by a BB gun, leaving a small but deep dent that is driving me crazy!!! I was thinking of trying this.

I treid this too and didn't work. I read a lot of things saying it only works on steel not aluminum panels.

What is the theory behind this? Cold metal contracts? It does but this removes dents how? Sounds bogus to me.

Off topic: But when he was about 8 years old, my brother tried to make dry ice by taking a towel and drying off a cube of ice.
