Default Buddy Club 2 Body kit

Hi,

My tuner/fitter is in the process of putting on the buddy club 2 wide body kit. So far there has been alot of additional fabrication required to get this thing to fit 100%.

The rear bumper had to have some more fiberglassing to add meat to the brackets as there was not enough....

The fender flares look pretty shyte if they are bolted on and not molded into the body to get an OEM look.

Had issues with the front flairs and they have to be cut into pieces and molded, one piece is molded to the skirt, one to the body of the fender and the last one is molded to the front bumper.... if you dont do this then you will be in a situation that if u damage the skirt u kinda screwed as it is hard to remove everything... if you dont cut it so the front bumper is seperate, u cant take off the front bumper either.... this implies that FI guys will have issues should the engine, cooler need to be worked on....

anyway... the front fender flairs were to much of a mission so I've decided to leave them off... the back ones are getting cut into 3 pieces, one for the rear bumper, one for the fender and one for the skirt... all the issues mentioned apply, except its a ding in the back rather than an engine pull...

so basically, my cars got the rear fender flairs... "I love big butts and I cannnot lie" with a tappered Eurpoean look... hope it doesn't look shiit... will post as soon as its up... early next week...

if anyone can add value to this post or suggest anything else which might assist guys with this kit... or just tell me how bad this is going to look... its appreciated.

Cheers

I'm interested to see how this looks. I've always been a big fan of the buddy club 2 kit, both regular and wide body, but this isn't the first time I have heard it has fitment issues. Did your body guy have anything to say about the quality of the material?

Keep us posted!!

HI,

Bought the kit from andysautosport... it was a nightmare and have a thread detailing the experience...

this kit has been really shyte to fit as well, it bubbled with the paint job, hasn't fitted correctly and required a shyte load of fibre glass here and there... its almost finished now and although some parts look awesome... am concerned I may start crossing that rise boy bridge with the looks... f8k I hope not...

here are some updated pics showing the molding onto the body and cutting the flares into seperate pieces in case one needs to disassembe the biatch due to whatever....

if someone can host the pics in the thread please do so, let me know how u do it...

will provide more pics of complete effort....

the front bumper is out of site at the moment cause the dude was about to spray a mat black nose to follow the lines of the hood....

It is Buddy Club.....nuff said.

Fitment will most likely be poor as it is a cheap widebody kit. More often than not you'll spend 2x as much in fitment and installation time and your body guy will hate you.

IMO...If you're going to go widebody...it's not a cheap date and you may as well go all out and go Mastergrade..Azuka...etc and do it right with quality parts.

Hi,

If anyone can help out with this question:

If the rear fender flares are molded to the rear bumper, how will I take the bumper off to change things... or if the bumper needs to be repaired...? can the fenders and the bumper be detached from the body of the car as one piece.... reason is that the flairs have been cut now and are molded seperately onto the bumper and the body... it looks good but not perfect...?

any help will be appreciated.

Cheers

an update;

the buddy club was so bad that the guy fitting it gave up, since then i have started working with fibreglass and am fixing it up over weekends...

the front bumper does not line up correctly, the lights go over it at the ends and there are gaps here and there....

anyway... its nice to fix it urself if you have the time, honestly though, I would not recommend the buddy club to anyone... thats the v-fiber one from andysautosport who state 100% fitment/no issues...

cheers
