Default Asuka Hood Doesn't Fit!!

I just received my hood today from Jim and went to put it on.... and it doesn't fit!!!!. So I started thinking what may be hitting????? I looked closely and saw my strut bar was spaced up w/ washers.... That must have been done when AAM put there plenum spacer on... so i removed the strut bar... then the plastic engine cover and . . . . . . it still won't shut???? It clicks in but then pops back up???? what can I do. I waited so ooooooo long for this hood. Any help would be great.

1. relax
2. grab a friend to help you
3. adjust the hood latch bolts and the 4 bolts to attach the hood to the hinges. you might need to move the hood forward.
4. don't be afraid to push down in the front for the latch to click.

Check to see where it is hitting. I'll bet if you reach your hand in through the vents and feel around (when the hood is almost closed), you'll feel where it is hitting the plenum. You could have a body shop shave some of the underside of the hood where it hits?

Do as Cheston mentioned. More then likely it is just your latch catch mechanism.

I was one of the people who did mdracers front end after the..... deer (damn...can't believe I just said that dreaded word). When we installed his...it required some spacers at the hinges and a minor latch adjustment... not a big deal. Just do like chebosto said...have a friend help and take your time.

mdracers ended up coming out perfect. I for one couldn't believe how good the fitment was when it was all said and done.

Good Luck.
