Default Ding protection?

Would adding 3M to the doors help in the fight against door dings at all?

No. It's a film. If the "metal" door can be "dinged" I'm betting an added "film" won't help. Think about it for a second more.

However, if you do get dinged, paintless dent removal really does work and it's reasonably priced.

If it could, then 3M's marketing would have jumped all over that years ago.

I just figure that it could help with paint chipping... if the ding is bad enough for a dent to appear at least paint will not be damaged and DW could fix it. I think i am going to do it.

Best ding protection = don't park next to minivans or trucks.

Soon someone will cover the entire car with 3M plastic.

lol, does anyone actually use that

If so, that is so funny because people would really feel its safe to just smash their doors into your car. Or, someone might key your car thinking that you think you are better than everyone. I know, it sounds crazy but people don't give a ****.
