Default wash before trip.. yeah?

i should have put this in detail but i would apreciate it if this could stay here until i get an answer or two because i have to make the decision within the next 3 hours...

ok so im going from phoenix to vegas and when i get into vegas i wont have enough time to wash my car.. should i wash it a head of time? when i get there i will probably have smashed bugs all over... any quick fix for this kinda sh*t? like could i get a bottle of that detailer spray and just wipe down my hood and bumper? im sure there was another way for me to find out but like i said im nearly out of time so any advice on how to keep it good lookin would help

Tape up the front of your car / hood for the long trips. Then you don't have to worry about any bugs smashing onto your car and ruining your paint (it should also help against small debris scratching up your stuff)

crap on the car = abrasion

abrasion = sandpaper

answer: Yes

tape is a good idea too, I probably wouldnt do it unless I was traveling REALLY far or towing it.

Wash and wax the car fully prior to the trip.

Bring a few microfiber towels and a bottle of spray detailer with you.

Whenever you make a stop for the restroom, feel free to spray down the door and give it a good wiping.

Tape is a good idea, but IMO it's only for long hauls to transport the car. Road trips do not require it.

+1 on spray detailer and MF towels. i just used those two together last night and my car hasn't been washed in 2 weeks (but it's still clean). i don't know why i haven't been using that combo this whole time in between washings.
