Yeah!! That is a pretty blue Z on the cover! Have many people received theirs in the mail yet? I am in Atlanta.

I was glad to see that the pics in the article are pictures actually taken by C&D rather than the stock Nissan ones we saw briefly on their website. There is a nice one of the Z being launched for the 0-60 test with smoking tires.

You'd think that with all the complaining after the article came out that the review was terrible, but that couldn't be farther then the truth. The review was acctualy glowing with praise for the Z.

In the online article (when it was up on the C&D "hacked" web site) the "In Perspective" box at the end had some negative comments about the handling by one of the editors. I think that's what had some people unhappy.

Is it the same in the print version?

Default Car and Driver

Hi, This is Thunderbolt. I have been watching this site for awhile but have never posted as I have never really had anything to say. I have read the C&D article and the report was favorable towards the Z. The only thing negitive I could see was they seemed a littled anoyed that this car was not from eroupe or GM. If the article is any where near correct on performance stats this will be one very fun car to drive. There is one complaint C&D has and I agree with them . We have all seen photos of it. When you plug in your radar detector the pwr cord will run from the center of the seats to the windshield. Either a new pwr plug will be needed near the dash or a battery powered detector will have to be bought. can't wait till mine gets here.

As I mentioned in the thread under "radar detectors", I simply run the cord under/behind the sun visor, then down the pillar (under the cushion) then under the dash into the fusebox. That way no one (i,e cops) even know you have it.

Well after three fun years in a 350Z it is time for me to say goodby. The Z leaves here tomorrow for a new home and I will miss it. I dug up this old thread to say goodby in as it was the first one I posted in. I have seen this site change a lot over the past three years. Some good, some bad, but mostly changes for the different. To all the charter members out there and those who started early on with this site. It sure was fun. To those who followed, you have been great entertainment.

Aww, sad to see you leave. We'll miss ya! If you don't mind me asking, why are you getting rid of the Z and what will you be replacing it with?

Too much pain to drive. I have ruptured four disc in my lower back and lower neck. These have been repaired but keep me from enjoying the car. I can't turn my neck well enough to see safely out the sides of the Z. I will not be replacing the Z with anything at this time.
